Our mission at the St. Francis Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center is to assist physicians in treating patients diagnosed with problematic wounds. Our services include on-site physician assesment and evaluation, diagnostics, individualized care plans, nursing care, case management and patient education. Our trained physicians follow clinical practice guidelines shown to result in a 90 percent healing rate.

Each year, approximately six million Americans will suffer from chronic wounds caused by diabetes, circulatory problems and other conditions, resulting in an estimated 1.1 million to 1.8 million new cases annually. Twenty-one million Americans have diabetes, and 15% of those individuals will develop problem wounds. Approximately 82,000 diabetics undergo amputations each year because they are 15 times as likely to have an amputation as someone without diabetes. Hope comes in the form of quality wound care, which has been shown in studies to reduce amputation rates and the length of hospital stays.
