Types of Sleep Disorders
- Obstructive sleep apnea: a sleep disorder in which a person repeatedly stops breathing or experiences shallow breathing for short periods of time during sleep
- Narcoplepsy: a chronic neurological sleep disorder characterized by uncontrollable sleep atttacks.
- Restless leg syndrome: an overwhelming desire to move the legs usually due to an uncomfortable or unpleasant sensation in the legs.
- Excessive snoring
- Excessive daytime sleepiness
