St. Francis Spine and Neurosurgery Center

 The St. Francis Spine and Neurosurgery Center offers comprehensive orthopaedic and neurologic spine-related care. Both nonoperative and operative treatments are available to manage disorders of the spine. This unique center provides diagnostic tests, physical therapy, interventional pain management, neurosurgery, orthopaedic spine surgery and long-term fitness programs, enabling it to be an efficient and cost-effective facility. Our staff includes two board-certified orthopaedic surgeons, Thomas Walsh, MD, and Erik Westerlund, MD, who each have more than 19 years of experience, a board-certified neurosurgeon, Bill Adams, MD, who has more than 30 years of experience, and a dedicated team of musculoskeletal therapists, nurses and technicians.

 The Center’s state-of-the-art facilities are convenient and comfortable. They include our medical office and digital imaging suites, inpatient and outpatient surgical suites, an outpatient area for invasive pain management procedures, an outpatient rehabilitation facility and an orthopaedic unit for inpatient care. The support staff provides patient education in a private area.

 The physicians are active in many specialty societies to keep abreast of innovations in patient care. They and their colleagues also study clinical outcomes and perform clinical research with the support of clinical research and education personnel.
