Spiritual Offerings
At St. Francis Hospital, we recognize the place of the holy with regard to healing. Building on a tradition of care and compassion to all, we offer spiritual care to the interfaith community we serve, including:
- Spiritual and emotional support for patients, families, friends and staff
- Communication with your faith community and/or spiritual caregiver outside St. Francis Hospital
- Regular religious services for patients, families and staff in St. Francis' chapel.
- A weekly Catholic mass led by a local Roman Catholic priest
- A weekly interfaith worship service led by a hospital chaplain (Days and times are posted on the bulletin board outside the chapel. Sacraments are available by request; dial the Chaplain Services at extension 6091).
- Spiritual consultation for patients and families wrestling with difficult treatment choices and referral to the hospital's Bioethics Committee.
- Clinical Pastoral Education for local clergy and laypeople. (Course instructor is a certified supervisor with the association for Clinical Pastoral Education.)
