St. Francis Hospital will announce the opening of Trinity Center for Women TODAY at 12 p.m. A reception and tour will follow the presentation.           

The Trinity Center for Women, which opens December 1, will reach out to the most vulnerable in our community—expecting women unable to afford obstetrical services and their unborn babies.  The infant mortality rare in Columbus is almost 50 percent higher than the national average, and the number of low birth weight babies is about 33 percent higher than the national average.           

The new center is designed to help improve the infant mortality rate in Columbus by offering low-income pregnant women better access to prenatal care, including board-certified OB/GYN physicians and nurse midwives.           

The reception will be held at The Trinity Center for Women. They are located at 2724 Warm Springs Road.
