The annual CHEERS (Caring Hospital Employees Envision Real Success) campaign has become the centerpiece in the caring work of the St. Francis employees since it first began in 1994. In the true St. Francis spirit, an average of 90-95% of the hospital's more than 1,600 employees contribute year after year. Because of their generosity, an estimated 10,000 individuals and families, including low income hospital patients, have received various forms of financial assistance. St. Francis covers the administrative costs of CHEERS so that 100% of all giving directly affects others' lives.
To date, St. Francis employees have pledged more than $1.35 million. This year's campaign, will run August 11 through September 8, with the goal of raising another $100,000 or more.
