Cardiac Rehabilitation Program

The Cardiac Rehabilitation Program at St. Francis Hospital is designed for patients who have experienced:

• Heart attack
• Heart surgery
• Heart angioplasty or stent
• High risk for heart disease  

We understand that anyone having these experiences may be concerned about exercising. That's why your exercise will be monitored by the rehab staff who will assist you with your exercise program. Their goal is to help you return to an active, productive lifestyle. Our gym has an indoor walking track, treadmills, exercise bikes, rowing machines and exercise equipment designed to improve your strength and physical fitness.

A physician referral is required. Ask your physician to call our office at 706-596-4050. We will work with your physician to obtain the necessary information about your medical history. Please bring all your medications to the initial assessment.

Many insurance companies, including Medicare, cover cardiac rehabilitation. The rehab staff will assist you with questions regarding insurance and billing.
